The Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) at UC Berkeley invites all Bay Area students to participate in the Bay Area Decision Sciences Summit, hosted in collaboration with the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) at UC Berkeley.
This exciting event challenges interdisciplinary student teams to analyze a real-world dataset, extract meaningful insights, and present their findings to industry professionals from Wells Fargo and Berkeley IEOR faculty. Participants will also attend workshops introducing common data science tools to enhance their technical skills and refine their models for the Wells Fargo Case. Food and drinks will be provided on the event day!

Eligibility
• Open to all students, including non-Berkeley students and students from all majors and disciplines—everyone is welcome!
• Teams must consist of 3-4 members, with at least one team member being a sophomore or above.
• Need a team? No worries! Fill out the registration form, and we'll match you with other participants.
Key Dates
• Registration Opens: Friday, January 24
• Registration Closes: Wednesday, February 12 at 11:59 PM
• Case Challenge Begins: Friday, February 14 (teams receive the prompt and dataset)
• Summit & Final Presentations: Saturday, March 1 (9 AM – 5 PM)
• Teams will receive test data, attend workshops, and have work hours to refine their models before presenting.
