Rodney Brooks, a professor emeritus at MIT and a leading expert in robotics, will discuss recent advances in the fields of computer vision, machine learning and robotics. The lecture will also explore the political, ethical and societal ramifications of new AI technology, as well as how humans might co-exist alongside ever more intelligent machines. The event is presented by the BAIR Robotics Symposium.

Rodney is a robotics entrepreneur and is currently the CTO and co-founder of Robust AI. Before that he was Founder, Chairman and CTO of Rethink Robotics (it ran from September 1st, 2008, through October 3rd, 2018, and was originally called Heartland Robotics).
