
Lip-Bu Tan
Founder and Chairman, Walden International; Founding Managing Partner, Celesta Capital and Walden Catalyst Ventures; CEO, Intel Corp.
Lip-Bu Tan is Founder and Chairman of Walden International, and Founding Managing Partner of Celesta Capital and Walden Catalyst Ventures, with over $5 billion under management. He concurrently serves as CEO of Intel Corp. He previously served as CEO and executive chairman of Cadence Design Systems, Inc., and now serves as an Advisor and has been a member of the Cadence Board of Directors since 2004. He currently serves on the boards of Intel Corp., Schneider Electric, and Credo Semiconductor. With over 35 years of venture capital experience, Tan focuses on semiconductor, cloud infrastructure, data management, security, and AI. Tan received a B.S. from Nanyang University in Singapore, an M.S. in nuclear engineering from MIT, and an MBA from the University of San Francisco. He also received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the University of San Francisco and an honorary degree for Doctor of Science and Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. Tan currently serves on Carnegie Mellon's Board of Trustees and the School of Engineering Dean’s Council, MIT’s School of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council, UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering Advisory Board and College of Computing, Data Science, and Engineering Advisory Board, UCSF's Executive Council, and Fuller Theological Seminary’s Board of Trustees. He’s also a member of the Global Advisory Board of METI Japan, The Business Council, and Committee 100.
