Michael Grimes is a managing director and co-head of Global Technology Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. He has 34 years of technology investment banking experience and has been responsible for hundreds of technology transactions aggregating over hundreds of billions in value. He has advised on lead left internet IPOs and direct listings for Ancestry, Airbnb, Endeavor, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Spotify, Snap, and Uber; enterprise IPOs for Accenture, Arista, Cvent, Digital Ocean, Palo Alto Networks, Palantir, Splunk, Success Factors, Seagate; and private capital raisings for Airbnb, Asurion, Reliance Jio, and Uber. Grimes holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley. He is the founder of the Management, Entrepreneurship & Technology Program at UC Berkeley and a board member of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology at the University of Pennsylvania.
