Data Scholars
The Data Scholars Program provides spaces where students from many disciplines and backgrounds learn together, develop their data science skills, and co-create a diverse community. Students receive mentorship, support in introductory data science classes, and guidance to advance in the field through academic support, research opportunities, professional development, and community with other Scholars.
Data Science Course Staff
Our outstanding student staff, including tutors and instructors, contribute directly to student learning and engagement in data science classes. Student staff members foster a collaborative community of mentoring and professional networking, developing skills that serve them well in their academic and career pursuits. This program strengthens the educational experience for all students and cultivates the next generation of leaders in data science.
Data Science Honors Program
The Data Science Honors Program offers exceptional undergraduates the opportunity to engage in a year-long, faculty-mentored research project culminating in a written thesis and oral presentation. The program provides a rigorous, supportive environment that fosters advanced scholarship, critical thinking, and professional communication skills.
Data Discovery Program
The Data Discovery Program incubates and accelerates high impact research in academic, government, non-profit, and industry projects across the globe while providing UC Berkeley students real world research experiences and mentorship opportunities.
Global Adoption Student Team
Data Science Undergraduate Studies connects educators and institutions worldwide to advance data science education. Student team members contribute to this mission through a variety of skill sets from media and edtech support to helping host a global network of faculty at the National Workshop on Data Science Education.
